Key indicators of UAPF JSC as of June 1
As of June 1, 2021, pension savings in the amount of 12.7 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts of depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. For the year, from 06/01/2020 to 06/01/2021, the amount increased by more than 1 trillion tenge, or by 9%.
The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions (MPC) and amounted to 12.4 trillion tenge (growth over the past 12 months was 9%). The amount of pension savings on mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC) amounted to 326.1 billion tenge (an increase of 18%), the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (VPC) amounted to 2.2 billion tenge (an increase of 4%).
In the five months of 2021, UAPF contributors contributed more funds than in the same period last year. As of June 1, 2021, depositors' accounts received pension contributions in the total amount of 665.6 billion tenge, which exceeded the figure for the same period in 2020 by 236.7 billion tenge or 55%. Of the total contributions, 95.5% are receipts to the UAPF for MPC - 491.5 billion tenge (an increase of 20% over the past 12 months), 22.9 billion tenge (an increase of 14%), 241 million tenge (an increase of 80%) was listed under the VPC.
In addition to the contributions of the contributors themselves, a significant increase in pension savings was ensured due to net investment income, which from January 1 to June 1, 2021 amounted to 654.2 billion tenge, which exceeds the figures for the same period last year by 31% or 155 billion tenge. Yield on UAPF pension assets managed by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year as of June 1 amounted to 5.3%, with inflation of 3.5%. At the same time, the yield for the last 12 months was 11.7%, with inflation over the same period of 7.2%.
The number of individual pension accounts in the UAPF as of June 1, 2021 amounted to 11.6 million units. The largest number of accounts opened on mandatory pension contributions (MPC) - 10,900,756. Next come the accounts formed at the expense of MPC - 523,624, the number of accounts at the expense of VPC in the UAPF is now 45,143 units.
Since the beginning of the year, UAPF depositors have been paid about 1.5 trillion tenge, most of the payments were lump-sum pension payments (LPP) of 1.4 trillion tenge. The second in terms of payments were payments by age - 37.4 billion tenge. This is followed by: transfers to insurance organizations - they amounted to about 33.8 billion tenge, inheritance payments - 26.3 billion tenge, in connection with leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan - 13.4 billion tenge, for burial - 2.1 billion tenge and disability payments of 0.9 billion tenge.
It is worth noting that the amount of the average monthly payment according to the schedule (due to reaching the retirement age) was 28,780 tenge, and the maximum amount of the monthly payment under the MPC was 522,610 tenge. At the same time, in the current year, the maximum payment according to the schedule to the depositor in total for MPC, MPPC and VPC is 558,954.53 tenge.
