UAPF: pension contributions of Kazakhstanis increased by almost 30 percent
As of February 1, 2022, pension savings in the amount of 13.1 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts of depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions (OPV) and amounted to 12.7 trillion tenge. The amount of pension savings on mandatory professional pension contributions (OPP) amounted to 367.8 billion tenge, the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (DPV) amounted to about 1.7 billion tenge.
In the first month of 2022, UAPF depositors contributed almost 30% more funds than in the same period last year. As of February 1, 2022, pension contributions in the total amount of about 114.9 billion tenge were received to depositors' accounts, which exceeded the indicator for the same period of 2021 by 26.1 billion tenge. Of the total contributions, 93.3% are receipts to the UAPF for OPV - 107.2 billion tenge (an increase of 29%), 7.6 billion tenge (an increase of 28%) were received for OPV, 72 million tenge was transferred for DPV (an increase of 149%). At the same time, net investment income for the month amounted to 10.6 billion tenge.
The number of individual pension accounts in the UAPF as of February 1, 2022 amounted to 11.7 million units. The largest number of accounts have been opened for mandatory pension contributions (OPV) – 10,865,718 units. Next are the accounts formed at the expense of the OPPV, 550,405 units, the number of accounts at the expense of the DPV in the UAPF is now 63,471 units.
Since the beginning of the year, the UAPF has paid 113.2 billion tenge to depositors, most of them were one-time pension payments (EPO) for the purpose of improving housing conditions and treatment - 97.0 billion tenge. Age payments - 6.6 billion tenge, inheritance payments - 3.8 billion tenge, payments in connection with permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan - 3.5 billion tenge, transfers to insurance organizations amounted to 1.6 billion tenge, funeral payments - 0.4 billion tenge and disability payments - 0.2 billion tenge.
It is worth noting that the amount of the average monthly payment according to the schedule from the UAPF (due to reaching retirement age) it amounted to 29,200 tenge, and the maximum amount of monthly payment was 548,741 tenge.
