Every year, on the first Thursday of February, World Election Day is celebrated in all countries, established as a professional holiday of election authorities in 2005 at the General Conference of Election Organizers in Budapest (Hungary) and supported by the United Nations. This year the holiday is celebrated on February 3.
Professionals in the field of organizing and conducting elections, establishing the World Election Day, aimed to draw people's attention to the problem of ensuring the electoral rights of citizens and improving electoral processes.
On the initiative of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on February 3, 2022, Open Days will be held in the Atyrau region in precinct and territorial commissions, meetings of members of election commissions with students of educational institutions on the topic "The Constitutional right to choose and be elected" are planned.
The main objectives of this day are to affirm the irreversibility of the democratization process in the public consciousness, inform the public about the achievements in the electoral process, and form commitment to democratic values among young voters.
