The head of ASPR held a meeting with members of the Young Experts Club under the Senate

Today, the Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhandos Shaimardanov, participated in the 15th session of the Young Experts Club, chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev, where issues of the country's strategic planning were discussed.

In his speech, the head of ASPR noted that since the adoption of the current "Kazakhstan - 2050" Strategy in 2012, there have been significant changes both within the country and beyond its borders, which have substantially altered long-term expectations and perspectives on the future.

Over the years, Kazakhstan has achieved considerable success in socio-economic development, but several challenges remain in various sectors.

In this regard, under the mandate of the Head of State, the Agency has prepared a draft updated development strategy, "Vision - 2050." The new Vision primarily reflects the country's long-term global role, the preservation and inviolability of democratic values in Kazakh society, and the focus of state policy on human-centeredness and building a high-tech economy.

The implementation of the Vision will be carried out through the execution of National Development Plans (NDP), the first of which is planned until 2029. The content of the NDP is oriented towards fully realizing the priorities of the country's new economic course and includes several directives from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, announced at an expanded Government meeting.

In particular, the NDP outlines medium-term strategic approaches to ensuring sustainable economic growth rates of at least 6% per year and doubling GDP to $450 billion by 2029. The NDP also includes a roadmap of 80 key national indicators, developed based on the ASPR's forecast-analytical model and plans of central government bodies.

In summary, the speaker noted that the NDP project is currently undergoing public discussions. Every citizen can submit their proposals on the "Open RLA" portal until February 19 of this year.
