Discussions on approaches to updating the strategic documents "Vision: Kazakhstan 2050" and the National Development Plan until 2029 have taken place at ASPR

The Agency held a series of meetings with representatives of international financial organizations, including the Eurasian Development Bank (EADB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as representatives of the investment community.

To ensure a high-quality update of the "Vision: Kazakhstan 2050" document and the formulation of the National Development Plan until 2029, ASPR is conducting extensive analytical and research work, evaluating external and internal challenges and studying global trends.

According to Aset Irgaliyev, the Chairman of the Agency, there is now a unique opportunity to reboot the entire system of state planning and define the long-term and medium-term aspirations of Kazakhstan as a country and as part of the global community.

The main objective of these events was to exchange opinions, relevant experiences, and information necessary for shaping the vision of the country's new strategic documents.

During the meetings, special emphasis was placed on quality approaches to attracting investments, water resource issues, regional cooperation, public-private partnerships, urban and rural development, transport corridors, enhancing the country's global competitiveness, and strengthening the human capital potential, among other relevant topics.

According to Evgeny Vinokurov, the Chief Economist of the EADB, the updated strategic documents should prepare the country to become part of the future world, in which artificial intelligence will become a commonplace phenomenon in people's lives. In turn, Eric Livny, the Lead Regional Economist at the EBRD, emphasized the importance of Kazakhstan as a logistics hub and focused on issues related to enhancing the competitiveness of transit through Central Asian countries.

As a result of the meetings, the parties expressed readiness for deeper interaction and cooperation.
