What is the use of statistics for government planning?

Today, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Olzhas Tuleuov delivered a lecture on the topic "Regions of Kazakhstan in statistical data: what the numbers say" at the School of Analytics under Senate.

The purpose of the training lecture was to give students practical skills in applying statistics for qualitative analysis of regional economic sectors.

The speaker explained the structure and hierarchy of the state planning system, told about regional sources of statistical data and features of the economy of Kazakhstan, gave specific tools for analysis.

The participants asked questions about demography, rural development, state planning documents, and expressed ideas about national statistics.
