Citizens under 35 years of age are considered as young people in Kazakhstan

Today, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of state youth policy and social security".

According to the law, the youth category was extended from 29 to 35 years.

Will the change in the law affect statistical data?

According to statistics at the beginning of 2022, the number of young people aged 14 to 28 years was 3,833,458 (of which 1,957,274 were men, 1,876,184 were women), in accordance with changes in the law, the proportion of young people (14 to 34 years) amounted to 5,694,397. Of these, men-2,896,681, women-2,797,716 people.
