Сhairman of the Agency met with representatives of the EBRD

Today, Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Agency) Aset Irgaliyev met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing reforms in the country, political and economic modernization, legislative initiative and current projects.

The Нead of the Agency said that in the second quarter of next year, for the first time in the country, a National report on reforms will be presented. "The Agency not only develops reforms and is engaged in planning, but also monitors their implementation," A.Irgaliyev emphasized.

In turn, Alex Pivovarsky, Director of the Financial Market and Capital Department of the EBRD, expressed the opinion on the need for systematic development of the Kazakhstani capital market. "We are considering two potential projects for Central Asia, the first is planned to create a research center and the second is to develop a website for investors, which will provide information on local business projects," representatives of the EBRD said.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to cooperate in the framework of research and discussion of alternative opinions on national initiatives.
