This was announced today at a solemn meeting dedicated to the professional holiday Statistics Day by the Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aset Irgaliyev.
"It is no coincidence that in 2020 the Head of State allocated the Bureau of National Statistics to the Agency. Statistical agencies, established 102 years ago, are an important industry that provides authorities and society with comprehensive, reliable and accurate information. The preparation and implementation of reforms should be based on reliable and complete information. Only in this case we will achieve data-driven government, that is, an effective state policy," the Agency Chairman said.
The national statistics reform program is being actively implemented now. The reform program consists of 68 projects covering the areas of improving the methodological base, the transition to the use of administrative and alternative sources of information and organizational reengineering.
Aset Irgaliyev emphasised that these transformational changes should become an example for other state agencies. He also noted the support of these changes from the Head of State.
As part of the reform, it is planned to streamline the state database. In the next three years, the number of statistical forms (now there are 146) will be reduced to 4 times. In addition, one of the important transformative steps will be the transition to a system of registration censuses.
At the solemn meeting, a number of employees were awarded the medal "Eren enbegi ushin", the breastplates "Statistics uzdigi" and letters of thanks.
