The head of ASPR held a meeting with citizens at a personal reception

Today, Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – ASPR, Agency) Aset Irgaliyev accepted citizens according to the reception schedule of the Agency's management.

Economist Zhanat Nurgaliyev, who came to the reception, presented his recommendations on the effective use of statistical data and rational mechanisms of local self-government. According to him, the results of the reforms carried out by the state should be felt by ordinary residents of rural areas.

The Chairman of the Agency noted that the national projects "Comfortable School" and "Modernization of rural healthcare" implemented at the initiative of the Head of State are primarily aimed at improving the standard of living of ordinary citizens.

Carrying out reforms requires building a high-quality ecosystem of data that will allow us to make timely and effective decisions. There is already a definite vision for building a set of measures to streamline data together with the Government.

At the present time, the requests of data users have already changed. Administrative data collected by government agencies sometimes do not cover this need. The Bureau of National Statistics is ready to provide a methodological basis for data collection. More and more data is being aggregated by alternative sources that can be used in decision-making at the state level.

At the end of the reception, A. Irgaliyev invited the expert to further discuss the proposals together with the Bureau of National Statistics.
