Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Aset Irgaliyev held a meeting with a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The meeting continued the dialogue initiated in Washington during the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF and focused on deepening strategic partnership and developing concrete joint initiatives.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in key areas, including public-private partnerships, infrastructure investment, agriculture, and other high-growth sectors.

“Kazakhstan is consistently implementing systemic reforms aimed at strengthening institutions and diversifying the economy. We highly value our partnership with IFC and look forward to further joint initiatives that improve quality of life and ensure sustainable economic growth,” said Aset Irgaliyev.

IFC representative Zafar Khashimov highlighted Kazakhstan’s growing regional role and confirmed IFC’s readiness to actively support reforms.

“We see significant potential in Kazakhstan for long-term investment projects. IFC is interested in supporting private sector development, enhancing financial market efficiency, and advancing infrastructure and agricultural projects. We are ready to expand cooperation and bring in international best practices,” he stated.

The parties agreed to continue engagement and move toward concrete project development.
