Center for Demographic Analysis and Forecasting Established under ASPR

In implementation of the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, announced in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan, a Center for Demographic Analysis and Forecasting has been established within the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.

The creation of the Center represents a timely response to key contemporary challenges. Amid dynamic demographic changes, the Center will become a critical instrument for developing evidence-based demographic and socio-economic policies.

The use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and big data, will enable comprehensive analysis and forecasting of demographic trends, identification of hidden patterns, and understanding of causal relationships.

The Center will not merely collect data but will conduct in-depth analysis, model scenarios, and develop policy recommendations. Its mission is to provide the state not only with forecasts but also with a clear understanding of the drivers and consequences of demographic change. It will serve as a platform where analytics are transformed into policy – ranging from pension and social systems to employment and regional planning.

The Center’s mission is to provide public authorities with a reliable analytical foundation for informed decision-making in family policy, healthcare, education, labor markets, migration, infrastructure development, and social protection, thereby contributing to the country’s long-term sustainable development.
