Transition to online settlement of insurance payments

Transition to online settlement of insurance payments

Procedures for online settlement of insurance claims for all mandatory types of insurance and a simplified procedure for receiving insurance payments (Euro Protocol) will be introduced from 2024.

Online settlement of insurance claims will simplify and make the insurance process more transparent. The consumer will be able, without visiting the office, to submit an application and the necessary documents to receive an insurance payment through the insurance company's website. All stages of the insurance case settlement process, from the application to the payment, will be reflected in the consumer's personal account and recorded in a Single insurance database. Electronic recording of each stage of the insurance contract will ensure the protection of the rights and interests of consumers.

The Euro protocol will allow you to issue an insurance case online right at the scene of an accident without involving the traffic police and going to court. The Euro protocol is applicable if only two vehicles are involved in an accident, there is no harm to the life and health of people, the property of third parties has not been damaged. The participants of the accident must agree who is the culprit of the accident, and who will simplify and make the insurance process more transparent to the victims, and that the amount of damage does not exceed 100 MCI.

The Euro protocol will significantly simplify the process and shorten the period for receiving insurance payments. If today it takes an average of 92 days to receive an insurance payment, then the Euro Protocol will allow you to receive money in 6 working days, including 3 days for damage assessment. The burden on the traffic police and the courts will be reduced.

For the convenience of users, the Insurance Benefit Guarantee Fund has developed a special mobile application. The application will allow you to submit an online application to an insurance company, undergo biometric identification, attach digital documents, photos and videos. Payments will be made by the insurance company to the victim's bank account.

Insurance organizations can also create their own mobile applications and interfaces. The consumer will have the opportunity to choose the most convenient service.

The use of digital technologies will optimize and automate all insurance business processes, which, ultimately, will increase the coverage of the population with insurance services in the regions, the availability and quality of insurance services for the population and businesses, and significantly reduce the number of litigation.
