Participation in the Digital Bridge 2023 International Technology Forum

On October 12-13, 2023, the International Technology Forum Digital Bridge 2023 was held in Astana with the participation of the Head of State Tokayev K.K..

The Forum is a platform where experts from different parts of the IT world gather to exchange experiences, ideas and set the pace for the joint development of digital technologies and entrepreneurship. In 2023, the focus of the Forum is on an important topic: "Artificial and Human Intelligence: the right balance (Artificial and Human Intelligence: The Right Balance)

Within the framework of the Forum, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (hereinafter – the Agency) presented a new mobile service in insurance – Euro Protocol.

The Euro protocol is a simplified procedure for registration of insurance payments for compulsory motor insurance in case of minor road accidents. It will be officially launched on January 1, 2024.

As part of the presentation of the service, Deputy Chairman of the Agency Maria Khadzhieva noted that over the past few years, a large-scale digitalization of insurance services has been carried out.

"From January 01, 2024, within the framework of the Euro Protocol, the population will be able to issue an insurance case without calling the police and going to court, provided that the amount of damage does not exceed
100 MCI and no harm has been caused to the health and property of third parties," Maria Hadzhieva said.

The Euro protocol will significantly reduce the terms of insurance payments from 92 days to 6 working days and reduce the burden on the traffic police and courts.

Users of the mobile application will be able to apply to an insurance company online, undergo biometric identification, attach digital documents, photo and video materials. Insurance companies will make payments based on the attached digital documents to the victim's bank account.

Other insurance organizations can also create their own digital services. The consumer will have the opportunity to choose the most convenient service.
