Regarding Ernst&Young's ESG awareness seminars

On September 27 and 29, 2023, Ernst&Young (EY) together with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan will hold seminars for the financial sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan to raise awareness and build expertise on ESG and sustainable finance.

The seminars will cover key trends in ESG and sustainable finance for financial institutions, including such topics as climate and other ESG risk management, approaches to calculating carbon footprint (own operations and corporate loan portfolio), disclosure of non-financial information, approaches to decarbonization, and an introduction to climate stress testing of the portfolio. The experts will share leading global practices and approaches, as well as present practical recommendations for financial organizations in the field of ESG.
