How to protect yourself against financial fraud

To protect yourself against financial fraud, a voluntary loan waiver service is available. Anyone can choose to waive their right to bank loans and microloans. This service, called "Stop Credit," is available on the portal and in the E-gov mobile app.

To activate the service from a computer, log in to your personal account on the egov.kz website, open the "Services" section, select "Voluntary Waiver of Bank Loans and Microloans," complete the online form, and sign the application with an electronic signature. The result will be displayed in the "Service History" section.

The service can also be accessed through the E-gov mobile app. In the "Services" section, select "Taxes and Finance," then select "Voluntary Waiver of Loans." Afterward, fill in the required information and confirm the request electronically.

After the service is activated, a note indicating the loan waiver will appear in your credit history. Banks and microfinance organizations that contact credit bureaus will have an access to this information. If a loan application is received, financial institutions will refuse to issue it. If, despite the established ban, the loan is issued without your consent, it will be cancelled.

You can deactivate the service at any time, if necessary. It's important to indicate that this restriction does not apply to pawnshops and other organizations that do not use credit bureaus to check borrowers.
