The warmth of live communication

The meeting of the akim of the region Yermek Marzhikpayev with veterans on the International Day of the Elderly is a good tradition. For two years in a row, due to quarantine restrictions, it takes place in a truncated format – only veteran assets are collected.

But, according to the participants themselves, the atmosphere here is still warm. "Because of the pandemic, we rarely see each other, we mostly communicate by phone, so we are very happy to have live communication, we wish each other good health – now it is very important. After all, there are fewer of us – acquaintances, friends, former colleagues are leaving, we appreciate every moment, and attention and care especially," they shared.

"I know almost every one of you personally, I know that you, being on a well-deserved vacation, are always interested in the life of the region, are engaged in public work, help in solving many issues - thank you for that. We have tried to prepare a good program: excursions to large enterprises, sights of Kokshetau," Ermek Marzhikpayev said, stressing that the merits of those who worked hard for the development of the region are well known to the residents of Akmola.

The governor of the region also told about the main directions in which the capital region is developing. He noted that even in the conditions of a pandemic and quarantine restrictions, we have not slowed down, we are showing good figures both in the economy and in the social sphere, and the regional budget has grown to 300 billion tenge. The harvesting campaign was recently completed, our farmers managed to harvest a good harvest, despite a very dry summer - more than four million tons of grain were received.

One of the promising areas is agricultural machinery, today enterprises in this sphere "cover" almost 65 percent of the country's needs, more than 14 thousand jobs have been created. Thanks to state support, rental and credit apartment buildings are being built, not only in Kokshetau, but also in the districts, the volume of financing for the road industry has increased significantly. The state program "Employment Roadmap" and the special project "Auyl - El besigi" allowed not only to employ Akmola residents, but also to modernize social and communal facilities.

"A lot has been done in the region to be able to meet the second wave of coronavirus infection fully armed," he continued. - In record time, an infectious diseases center has grown in Kokshetau, a new hospital is being built. If last year eight thousand Akmola residents were ill with KVI, then this year – 32. A lot has been done, even more is planned.

Of course, there are problems, but we try to solve them not hastily, but systematically, thoughtfully. I am glad that you are in the ranks, supporting peace and harmony, educating the younger generation. Our special gratitude is for the ability to enjoy life, for optimism and faith in the future."

Yermek Marzhikpayev presented letters of thanks and gifts to active representatives of the older generation, including honorary citizens Bolat Zhanadilov, Zura Shuatayeva, Gosman Tolegul and others. Tolegen Abdin, head of the Council of Veterans of the Yerementau district, thanked for the transformation of rural settlements. "I am proud of today's appearance of my native Kokshetau," Faruk Bogapov shared. – I lived on Beregovaya Street as a boy, then there were two dozen houses and a couple of trees. And today you can't find out – there's a whole embankment around the lake Copa."
