Key indicators of the agro-industrial complex
Gross agricultural output in Akmola region for January-November 2024 amounted to 892,141.3 million tenge (IFV - 145.3%), including: crop production - 626,733.3 million tenge (IFV - 176.4%), livestock - 265,139.1 million tenge (IFV - 101.2%).
In total, there are 8976 active agro-formations in the region, including: 1912 - legal entities, 554 - individual entrepreneurs, 6510 - peasant farms.
Investments in fixed capital of agriculture for January-November 2024 amounted to 69.5 billion tenge, investments in fixed capital in food production - 7.2 billion tenge.
The number of employed population in agriculture of the region is 24.2% of the total number of employed (total employed - 403.8 thousand people, including in agriculture - 97.4 thousand people (according to the results of the 3rd quarter of 2024).
The average salary in the agricultural sector for the 3rd quarter of 2024 amounted to 327.7 thousand tenge with an increase of 20.9% compared to the same period in 2023 (for January-September 2024 - 273.3 thousand tenge or 111.6%).
State support for the agro-industrial complex
Subsidies for the agro-industrial complex
In 2024, the volume of state support for the agro-industrial complex in the form of subsidies will amount to 46.4 billion tenge, including in the following areas:
- for subsidizing the crop production industry - 15.5 billion tenge (pesticides - 9,436.5 million tenge, fertilizers - 5,048.9 million tenge, seeds - 617.5 million tenge, priority crops - 400 million tenge);
- for subsidizing livestock farming - 5.4 billion tenge;
- financial instruments - 24.6 billion tenge (investment subsidies - 15,916.1 million tenge, reimbursement of interest rates on loans and leasing - 8,667.2 million tenge);
- for subsidizing deep processing - 0.9 billion tenge.
Crop production
Grain and leguminous crops were threshed on an area of 4,696 thousand hectares, 6,602 thousand tons of grain were threshed with an average yield of 14.1 c/ha.
Oil crops (sunflower, rapeseed, flax, mustard, camelina, soybeans) were harvested from an area of 258.5 thousand hectares, 276.0 thousand tons were collected with a yield of 10.8 c/ha.
Potatoes were harvested from an area of 7,766.2 hectares, 137.5 thousand tons were collected with a yield of 177.1 c/ha.
Vegetables were harvested from an area of 1,449.5 hectares, 19.2 thousand tons were collected with a yield of 132.8 c/ha.
Acquisition of agricultural machinery
In January - November 2024, the agricultural producer purchased 1,367 units of machinery for 48.4 billion tenge, including:
- grain harvesters - 256 units for 25.0 billion tenge;
- tractors - 357 units for 12.5 billion tenge;
- seeders - 272 units for 441.7 million tenge;
- seeding complexes - 19 units for 2.4 billion tenge;
- other machinery - 463 units for 8.1 billion tenge.
Livestock
In January-November 2024, the region produced 177.0 thousand tons of live meat (99%), 218.5 thousand tons of milk (105.1%), and 634.1 million chicken eggs (99.6%).
As of December 1, 2024, the total number of cattle in all categories of farms was 379.4 thousand heads (99.9% of the same period in 2023), including 189.0 thousand cows (102.5%).
The number of horses was 248.8 thousand heads (99.8%), and poultry - 8815.2 thousand heads (99.9%).
The number of sheep and goats amounted to 553.2 thousand heads (103%), pigs – 32.4 thousand heads (65.2%).
Implementation of investment projects within the food belt
In 2024, 31 investment projects for a total of 44.7 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the agro-industrial complex, including:
- 4 projects for the construction of grain storage facilities for 560 million tenge;
- 5 projects for the construction of dairy farms for 15.3 billion tenge;
- 6 projects for the construction of meat farms for 735 million tenge;
- 1 project for the production of poultry meat for 12.0 billion tenge;
- 1 project for the construction of a warehouse for storing liquid fertilizers for 0.6 billion tenge;
- 8 projects for the processing of agricultural products for 10.8 billion tenge;
- 5 irrigation projects for 3.8 billion tenge;
- 1 project for forage production for 800 million tenge.
Implemented investment projects
As of 24.12.2024, 30 projects worth 43.9 billion tenge have been implemented:
- 6 projects for the construction of a meat farm - LLP "SKhP Makinskoye" for 600 heads of horses for 330 million tenge and IP "Alikhan" for 1000 heads of small cattle for 120 million tenge (in the Birzhan-Sal district), LLP "Astana-Tan" for 50 heads of horses for 35 million tenge (in the Zhaksyn district); KH "As-Madi" for 400 heads of cattle for the amount of 100 million tenge, TOO "AF Karakol" for 300 heads of cattle for the amount of 50 million tenge (in the Yesil district), KH "Zhalgas" for 250 heads of cattle for the amount of 100 million tenge (in the Korgalzhyn district); - 9 projects for processing agricultural products - TOO "Kazger KUS" (feed mill) with a capacity of 720 tons for 127.2 million tenge (in the Birzhan Sal district); TOO "Tyn Zher 18" with a capacity of 100 tons per hour for the amount of 140 million tenge (in the Akkol district); TOO "Garanti Export" with a capacity of up to 5 tons per hour for the amount of 1.2 billion tenge (in the city of Kokshetau); TOO "Samara 1" with a capacity of 12 thousand tons worth 350 million tenge (in the Atbasar district); TOO Agrofirma "Rodina" expansion of the capacity of the dairy plant to 50 thousand tons per year for 931 million tenge (in the Tselinograd district); TOO "Qazaq food market" (cereals production plant) with a capacity of 31,200 tons worth 3.8 billion tenge (in Kokshetau); KH "Luch" with a capacity of 20 tons per hour worth 20 million tenge (in the Zhaksyn district); TOO "KazBeef Processing" with a capacity of 5 tons for 770 million tenge (in the Burabay district); TOO "Astana Tan" (dairy workshop) with a capacity of 100 liters of milk per day for 10 million tenge (in the Zhaksyn district); Bauyr Agro LLP with a capacity of 3 thousand tons worth 50 million tenge (in Zharkain district);
- 1 project for processing poultry meat - IL Tov LLP with a capacity of 346 thousand tons worth 3.5 billion tenge (in the city of Kosshy);
- 5 projects for the construction of dairy farms - AF Rodina LLP for 1000 heads worth 2.2 billion tenge (in Tselinograd district); Temir Agro LLP for 600 heads worth 4.2 billion tenge (in Arshaly district); Karlygash farm for 50 heads worth 42 million tenge (Sandyktau district); En-Dala LLP for 1498 heads worth 8.2 billion tenge (Tselinograd district); Temirlan LLP for 400 heads for the amount of 0.7 billion tenge (Zharkainsky district);
- 1 project for the construction of a poultry farm - Ak-Dala Agro LLP for 6 thousand tons for 12 billion tenge (in the Arshaly district);
- 1 grain processing project - ABM AGRO LLP with a capacity of 31,200 tons for 0.4 billion tenge (in the Shortandy district);
- 5 irrigation projects - Zelenoe-1 LLP for 302 hectares for 0.5 billion tenge, Kamyshenka LLP for 420 hectares for 1.4 billion tenge (in the Astrakhan district); Yesenzhol N LLP for 315 hectares for 800 million tenge (in the Tselinograd district); TOO "Maksimovskoye" for 400 hectares for 1 billion tenge (in Sandytau district); KH "Sayan" for 340 hectares for 146 million tenge (in Zharkain district); - 1 project for the construction of a warehouse for storing liquid fertilizers - OO "Zhuravlevka - 1" for 3000 sq. m for 600 million tenge (Bulandy district);
Processing of agricultural products
In Akmola region there are:
- 16 meat processing enterprises with a production capacity of 128.9 thousand tons per year;
- 15 dairy production enterprises with a production capacity of 149.0 thousand tons per year;
- 28 flour mills with a production capacity of 1365.8 thousand tons per year;
- 8 oilseed processing enterprises with a production capacity of 138.0 thousand tons per year.
In January-November 2024, food products were produced for the amount of 228.6 billion tenge, with an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
The main share in the structure of food production is occupied by the meat processing industry - 46.1%, dairy - 21.4%, vegetable oil - 11.6%, grain processing - 9.8%, bread and bakery - 1.9%, other industries - 9.2%.
Meat processing
Meat processing enterprises and workshops produced 82.4 thousand tons of meat in physical terms, sausage production amounted to 2959 tons.
Milk processing
The volume of processed milk production amounted to 110.6 thousand tons, an increase of 19.5% compared to the same level in 2023, 2,154 tons of butter, 2,004 tons of cheese and cottage cheese, an increase of 26%, and 7,600 tons of fermented milk products, an increase of 6.7%.
Oilseed processing
66.1 thousand tons of vegetable oil were produced, an increase of 22.7% compared to the same period in 2023.
Flour production
213.8 thousand tons of fine flour were produced, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
