Population as of 09/01/2024 - 788.9 thousand people, of which urban - 449.3 thousand people (57%).
The region consists of 17 districts, 3 cities of regional
and 8 cities of district significance.
Ethnic composition: Kazakhs - 56.6%, Russians - 26.5%, others - 16.9%.
In 2024, within the framework of the Unified Industrialization Map, it is planned to implement 6 projects worth 2.3 billion tenge
with the creation of 185 new jobs, of which the
complex for processing legumes, oilseeds and grain crops of Garanti Export LLP in Kokshetau was implemented for 400 million tenge, 10 jobs were created.
10.8 billion tenge were allocated for the implementation of support and development of small and medium businesses in 2024, incl. for subsidies - 9.4 billion tenge, loan guarantees - 659.3 million tenge, grant financing - 189 million tenge, connection to production infrastructure - 526.5 million tenge.
The volume of construction work increased to 192.4 billion tenge or 108.5% of the 2023 figure. 428.8 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned (a 10.9% decline is due to a decrease in the commissioned area of commercial housing in the regional center, due to a shortage of thermal energy).
The average monthly nominal wage
for January-June 2024 amounted to 321.2 thousand tenge, which is
12.9% higher than the 2023 level.
The consumer price index was 106.2%, including for food products - 103.4%.
As of October 1, 2024, 477.4 billion tenge or 96.3% of the funding plan for the reporting period was spent.
The state budget received 349.6 billion tenge in taxes and other mandatory payments, or 86.3% of the forecast, including 188.8 billion tenge (73.1% of the forecast) to the republican budget and 160.8 billion tenge (109.5% of the forecast) to the local budget.
The coverage of children aged 2 to 6 years with preschool education is 92.3%.
In the field of education, construction of schools for 80 students in the village of Otemis in the Tselinograd district and for 1,200 students in the city of Kosshy, and an extension to special boarding school No. 4 in the city of Kokshetau, has been completed.
The construction of 6 schools is ongoing: in Birzhan sal (Bulandy village), Sandytausky (Petrovka village), Tselinogradsky (Zhana Zhol village) districts, the cities of Stepnogorsk (Bestobe village), Kokshetau (2 objects), as well as 4 kindergartens: the cities of Kosshy (1 object) and Kokshetau (3 objects).
Within the framework of the National Project "Comfortable School", the construction of 4 schools for 1,200 children has been completed in the villages of Karaotkel, Akmol and Talapker (2 projects), and the construction of 5 schools with the connection of engineering infrastructure is also ongoing: in the Tselinogradsky district - 3 projects (in the villages of Karazhar, Kabanbai Batyr, Koyandy), in the city of Kokshetau - 2 projects.
In the field of healthcare, the construction of the Primary Health Care Center has been completed in the village of Koyandy, Tselinogradsky district. The construction of a first aid post in the village of Novoselskoye in the Atbasarsky district, and a hospital combined with a polyclinic in the city of Stepnyak in the Birzhan sal district, continues. Within the framework of the National Project "Modernization of Rural Healthcare", 38 projects are being implemented with the connection of engineering infrastructure (14 medical outpatient clinics in the villages of: Novorybinka of Akkolsky, Stary Koluton, Astrakhansky District, Arnasai of Arshalynsky, Erkinshilik of Yereymentausky, Svobodnoye and Aksai of Yesilsky, Pyatigorskoye of Zharkainsky District, Aidabul of Zerendinsky, Arayly, Zhalgyzkudyk, Nuresil, Zhanaesil, Orazak of Tselinogradsky, Novokubanka of Shortandysky Districts; 21 FAPs in the villages of: Kyna, Uryupinka of Akkolsky, Sergeyevka of Atbasarsky, Andykozha Batyr of Birzhan Sal District, Novobratskoye, Partizanka and Altyndy of Bulandynsky, Baumanskoye of Yegindykolsky, Kirovskoye of Zhaksynsky, Malika Gabdullina Zerendinsky, Tonkeris, Karamendy Batyr, Manshuk, Otemis, Zhana Zhainak, Zharlykol, R. Koshkarbaeva and Prirechnoye Tselinogradsky, Prigorodnoye, Tonkeris and Klyuchi Shortandysky districts; 3 medical points in the villages: Razdolnoye, Shalkar and Yntymak Tselinogradsky district). Of these, 1 project was implemented - the construction of a feldsher-midwife station in the village of Baumanskoye Egindykolsky district.
In 2024, 35.5 billion tenge were allocated for the development of water supply and sanitation systems. The funds were directed to the construction of 24 (10.7 billion tenge)
and reconstruction of 44 facilities (21.6 billion tenge), development of design and estimate documentation for 5 projects (200.8 million tenge), exploration work (606.9 million tenge), routine repairs of 17 facilities (1.2 billion tenge), acquisition of 48 KBM (1.2 billion tenge).
In January-September 2024, there was a 12.4% increase in serious crimes, with a 70.2% clearance rate. The number of especially serious crimes increased by 1.9 times, with a 100% clearance rate.
