Press release to the Draft decision of the Akmola Regional Maslikhat "On amendments to the decision of the Akmola Regional Maslikhat dated May 21, 2020 No. 6S-43-6 "On providing additional incentives to donors""
This draft decision is being introduced to increase the amount of additional incentives for blood donors who carry out donor func-tion free of charge.
The main task for the Regional Blood Center is round-the-clock provision of hospitals' needs for blood components and preparations for the treatment process and replenishment of their irreducible supply. Consumers of blood products are 23 medical organizations of the Akmola region.
The procurement of the required amount of blood components is provided by 8 thousand donations per year. Thus, according to the reporting data for 2018, 9205 were carried out, for 2019 – 8912, and for 2020 – 7760 donations of blood and its components. In more than 98% of cases, donor assistance is provided by the population free of charge.
In order to attract the population to blood donation and its components, the Regional Blood Center pays monetary incentives to gratuitous donors in the amount of 0.75 monthly calculation index at the expense of funds financed from the local budget.
