The main indicators of the agro-industrial complex
Gross agricultural output in Akmola region in January - November 2024 amounted to 892,141.3 million tenge (IFO – 145.3%), including: crop production – 626,733.3 million tenge (IFO – 176.4%), livestock production – 265,139.1 million tenge (IFO – 101.2%).
In total, there are 8976 operating agricultural enterprises in the region, including: 1912 - legal entities, 554 - individual entrepreneurs, 6510 - peasant farms.
Investments in fixed assets of agriculture in January-November 2024 amounted to 69.5 billion tenge, investments in fixed assets in food production - 7.2 billion tenge.
The number of employed people in agriculture in the region is 24.2% of the total number of employed (403.8 thousand people in total, including 97.4 thousand people in agriculture (according to the results of the 3rd quarter of 2024).
The average salary in the agricultural sector for the 3rd quarter of 2024 amounted to 327.7 thousand tenge with an increase of 20.9% compared to the same period in 2023 (in January-September 2024 - 273.3 thousand tenge or 111.6%).
State support for the agro-industrial complex
Subsidizing the agro-industrial complex
In 2024, the volume of state support for the agro-industrial complex in the form of subsidies amounts to 46.4 billion tenge, including in the following areas::
-to subsidize the crop industry - 15.5 billion tenge (pesticides - 9,436.5 million tenge, fertilizers - 5,048.9 million tenge, seeds - 617.5 million tenge, priority crops - 400 million tenge);
- for subsidizing livestock production - 5.4 billion tenge;
- financial instruments - KZT 24.6 billion (investment subsidies - KZT 15,916.1 million, reimbursement of interest rates on loans and leasing - KZT 8,667.2 million);
- to subsidize deep processing - 0.9 billion tenge.
Crop production
Grain and leguminous crops were threshed on an area of 4,696 thousand hectares, 6,602 thousand tons of grain were threshed with an average yield of 14.1 c/ha.
Oilseeds (sunflower, rapeseed, flax, mustard, ginger, soybeans) were harvested from an area of 258.5 thousand hectares, 276.0 thousand tons were harvested with a yield of 10.8 c/ha.
Potatoes were harvested from an area of 7766.2 hectares, 137.5 thousand tons were harvested with a yield of 177.1 c/ha.
Vegetables were harvested from an area of 1449.5 hectares, 19.2 thousand tons were harvested with a yield of 132.8 c/ha.
Purchase of agricultural machinery
In January - November 2024, SHTP purchased 1,367 units of equipment worth 48.4 billion tenge, including:
- combine harvesters - 256 units worth 25.0 billion tenge;
- tractors - 357 units worth 12.5 billion tenge;
- seeders - 272 units in the amount of 441.7 million tenge;
- sowing complexes - 19 units worth 2.4 billion tenge;
- other equipment - 463 units worth 8.1 billion tenge.
Animal husbandry
In January - November 2024, the region produced 177.0 thousand tons of live meat (99%), 218.5 thousand tons of milk (105.1%), and 634.1 million chicken eggs (99.6%).
As of December 1, 2024, the total number of cattle in all categories of farms is 379.4 thousand heads (99.9% compared to the same period in 2023), including the number of cows - 189.0 thousand heads (102.5%).
The number of horses was 248.8 thousand (99.8%), birds - 8,815.2 thousand (99.9%).
The number of sheep and goats was 553.2 thousand (103%), pigs – 32.4 thousand (65.2%).
Implementation of investment projects within the food belt
In 2024, it is planned to implement 31 investment projects in the agro-industrial complex for a total amount of 44.7 billion tenge, including:
- 4 projects for the construction of grain storage facilities for 560 million tenge;
- 5 projects for the construction of MTF for 15.3 billion tenge;
- 6 projects for the construction of meat farms for 735 million tenge;
- 1 poultry meat production project for 12.0 billion tenge;
- 1 project for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of liquid fertilizers for 0.6 billion tenge;
- 8 projects for processing agricultural products for 10.8 billion tenge;
- 5 irrigation projects for 3.8 billion tenge;
- 1 feed production project in the amount of 800 million tenge.
Implemented investment projects
As of 12/24/2024, 30 projects worth 43.9 billion tenge have been implemented:
- 6 projects for the construction of a meat farm - LLP "SHP Makinskoe" for 600 heads of horses for 330 million tenge and IP "Alikhan" for 1000 heads of cattle for 120 million tenge (in the Birzhan Sal area), LLP "Astana - Tan" for 50 heads of horses in the amount of 35 million tenge (in Zhaksyn district); farm "As-Madi" for 400 heads of cattle in the amount of 100 million tenge, LLP "AF Karakol" for 300 heads of cattle in the amount of 50 million tenge (in Yesil district), farm "Zhalgas" for 250 heads of cattle in the amount of 100 million tenge (in Korgalzhyn district);
- 9 agricultural processing projects - Kazger KUS LLP (feed mill) with a capacity of 720 tons for 127.2 million tenge (in Birzhan Sal district); Tyn Zher 18 LLP with a capacity of 100 tons per hour for 140 million tenge (in Akkol district); Garanti Export LLP with a capacity of up to 5 tons per hour in the amount of 1.2 billion tenge (in the city of Kokshetau); Samarskiy 1 LLP with a capacity of 12 thousand tons in the amount of 350 million tenge (in the Atbasarsky district); Agrofirma Rodina LLP expansion of dairy plant capacity to 50 thousand tons per year by 931 million tenge (in the Tselinogradsky district); Qazaq food market LLP (cereal production plant) with a capacity of 31200 tons worth 3.8 billion tenge (in Kokshetau); Luch agricultural Complex with a capacity of 20 tons per hour worth 20 million tenge (in Zhaksyn district); KazBeef Processing LLP with a capacity of 5 tons for 770 million tenge (in Burabaysky Astana Tan LLP (dairy shop) with a capacity of 100 liters of milk per day for 10 million tenge (in Zhaksyn district); Bauyr Agro LLP with a capacity of 3 thousand tons for the amount of 50 million tenge (in Zharkain district);
- 1 poultry meat processing project - IL Tov LLP with a capacity of 346 thousand tons worth 3.5 billion tenge (in the city of Kosshy);
- 5 projects for the construction of MTF - AF Rodina LLP for 1,000 heads worth 2.2 billion tenge (in Tselinograd district); Temir Agro LLP for 600 heads worth 4.2 billion tenge (in Arshaly district); Karlygash farm for 50 heads worth 42 million tenge (Sandyktau district); "En-Dala" LLP for 1,498 heads worth 8.2 billion tenge (Tselinograd district); "Temirlan" LLP for 400 heads worth 0.7 billion tenge (Zharkainsky district);
- 1 poultry farm construction project - Ak - Dala Agro LLP for 6 thousand tons for 12 billion tenge (in Arshaly district);
- 1 grain processing project - AVM AGRO LLP with a capacity of 31200 tons for 0.4 billion tenge (in Shortandinsky district);
- 5 irrigation projects - Zelenoe - 1 LLP on 302 hectares for 0.5 billion tenge, Kamyshenka LLP on 420 hectares for 1.4 billion tenge (in the Astrakhan region); Yesenzhol N LLP on 315 hectares for 800 million tenge (in the Tselinograd region); Maksimovskoye LLP on 400 hectares for 1 billion tenge (in Sandyktau district); farm "Sayan" for 340 hectares for 146 million tenge (in Zharkain district);
- 1 project for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of liquid fertilizers - Zhuravlevka - 1 LLP for 3000 sq. m. m for 600 million tenge (Bulandyn district);
Processing of agricultural products
Akmola region has:
- 16 meat processing enterprises with a production capacity of 128.9 thousand tons per year;
- 15 dairy production enterprises with a production capacity of 149.0 thousand tons per year;
- 28 flour milling enterprises with a production capacity of 1365.8 thousand tons per year;
- 8 oilseed processing plants with a production capacity of 138.0 thousand tons per year.
In January-November 2024, food products worth 228.6 billion tenge were produced, with an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
The main share in the structure of food production is occupied by the meat processing industry – 46.1%, dairy – 21.4%, vegetable oil – 11.6%, grain processing – 9.8%, bread and bakery – 1.9%, other industries – 9.2%.
Meat processing
Meat processing enterprises and workshops produced 82.4 thousand tons of meat in physical terms, and sausage production amounted to 2,959 tons.
Milk processing
The volume of processed milk production amounted to 110.6 thousand tons with an increase of 19.5% compared to the same level in 2023, 2,154 tons of butter were produced, 2004 tons of cheese and cottage cheese with an increase of 26%, and 7,600 tons of fermented dairy products with an increase of 6.7%.
Processing of oilseeds
66.1 thousand tons of vegetable oil were produced, with an increase of 22.7% compared to the same period in 2023.
Flour production
213.8 thousand tons of fine flour were produced, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
