The main indicators of the agro-industrial complex
Gross agricultural output in the Akmola region in January - August 2024 amounted to 287,063.7 million tenge (IFO – 104.6%), including: crop production – 88,547.7 million tenge (IFO – 113.2%), animal husbandry - 198,386.2 million tenge (IFO – 101.2%).
In total, there are 8976 active agricultural formations in the region, including: 1912 - legal entities, 554 - individual entrepreneurs, 6510 - peasant farms.
Investments in fixed assets of agriculture in January-August 2024 amounted to 46.9 billion tenge, investments in fixed assets in food production amounted to 5.1 billion tenge.
The number of employed people in agriculture in the region is 22.5% of the total number of employed (total employed - 402.5 thousand people, including in agriculture - 90.4 thousand people (according to the results of the 2nd quarter of 2024).
The average salary in the agricultural sector for the 2nd quarter of 2024 amounted to 279.5 thousand tenge with an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
State support of the agro-industrial complex
Subsidizing the agro-industrial complex
In 2024, the volume of state support to the agro-industrial complex in the form of subsidies amounts to 46.5 billion tenge, including in the following areas:
-for subsidizing the crop industry - 15.5 billion tenge (pesticides - 9,436.5 million tenge, fertilizers - 5,048.9 million tenge, seeds - 617.5 million tenge, priority crops - 400 million tenge);
-for subsidizing livestock production - 5.4 billion tenge;
-financial instruments - KZT 24.7 billion (investment subsidies - KZT 15,913.5 million, reimbursement of interest rates on loans and leasing - KZT 8,667.2 million, within the framework of loan guarantee and insurance - KZT 90.2 million);
- for subsidizing deep processing - 0.9 billion tenge.
Crop production
In the region, sowing was carried out on an area of 5.4 million hectares, including:
- cereals and leguminous crops - on an area of 4696 thousand. ga;
- oilseeds - 268.6 thousand. ga;
- forage crops - 421 thousand hectares (including grasses of previous years);
- potatoes - by 7.8 thousand hectares, vegetables - by 1.4 thousand hectares.
Purchase of agricultural machinery
In January - August 2024, SHTP purchased 1,053 units of equipment in the amount of 35.4 billion tenge, including:
- combine harvesters - 175 units in the amount of 17.8 billion tenge;
- tractors - 281 units worth 9.9 billion tenge;
- seeders - 235 units in the amount of 388.9 million tenge;
- sowing complexes - 14 units worth 1.6 billion tenge;
- other equipment - 348 units worth 5.7 billion tenge.
Animal husbandry
In January - August 2024, the region produced meat in live weight – 130.3 thousand tons (99.5%), milk - 161.6 thousand tons (104.2%), chicken eggs – 467.5 million pieces (98.3%).
As of September 1, 2024, the total number of cattle in all categories of farms is 398.5 thousand heads (99.2% compared to the same period in 2023), including the number of cows - 189.2 thousand heads (100.5%).
The number of horses amounted to 262.0 thousand heads (101.3%), birds -9507.3 thousand heads (95.8%).
The number of sheep and goats amounted to 605.8 thousand heads (102.9%), pigs – 39.7 thousand heads (63.2%).
Implementation of investment projects within the food belt
In 2024, 41 investment projects for a total of 76.8 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the agro-industrial complex, including:
- 6 projects for the construction of granaries for 2.2 billion tenge;
- 11 MTF construction projects worth 43.5 billion tenge;
- 6 projects for the construction of meat farms for 0.8 billion tenge;
-1 poultry farm construction project for 12 billion tenge;
-1 project for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of liquid fertilizers for 0.6 billion tenge;
- 9 projects for processing agricultural products worth 10.8 billion tenge;
- 6 irrigation projects worth 6.1 billion tenge;
- 1 feed production project in the amount of 0.8 billion tenge.
Implemented investment projects
As of 09/19/2024, 15 projects worth 31.1 billion tenge have been implemented:
- 2 projects for the construction of a meat farm - LLP "SHP Makinskoe" for 600 heads of horses for 330 million tenge and IP "Alikhan" for 1000 heads of cattle for 120 million tenge (in the Birzhan Sal area);
- 1 project for processing agricultural products - LLP "Kazger KUS" (feed mill) with a capacity of 720 tons for 127.2 million tenge (in the Birzhan Sal area);
- 1 poultry meat processing project - IL Tov LLP with a capacity of 346 thousand tons worth 3.5 billion tenge (in the city of Kosshy);
- 1 project for the construction of MTF - AF Rodina LLP for 1000 heads in the amount of 2.2 billion tenge (in Tselinograd district);
- 1 poultry farm construction project - Ak - Dala Agro LLP for 6 thousand tons for 12 billion tenge (in Arshaly district);
- 1 grain processing project - AVM AGRO LLP with a capacity of 31200 tons for 0.4 billion tenge (in the Shortandinsky district);
- 2 irrigation projects - Zelenoe - 1 LLP for 302 hectares for 0.5 billion tenge, Kamyshenka LLP for 420 hectares for 1.4 billion tenge (in the Astrakhan region);
- 1 MTF construction project - in Sandyktau district: Karlygash farm for 50 heads in the amount of 42 million tenge;
- 1 project for the construction of granaries - Tyn Zher 18 LLP with a capacity of 100 tons per hour in the amount of 140 million tenge (in Akkol district);
- 1 project for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of liquid fertilizers - Zhuravlevka - 1 LLP for 3000 sq. m. m for 600 million tenge (Bulandyn district);
- 1 project for the construction of MTF - En-Dala LLP for 1,498 heads in the amount of 8.2 billion tenge (Tselinograd district);
- 1 agricultural processing project - Garanti Export LLP with a capacity of up to 5 tons per hour in the amount of 1.2 billion tenge (in the city of Kokshetau);
- 1 project for the construction of granaries - Samara 1 LLP with a capacity of 12 thousand tons in the amount of 350 million tenge (in the Atbasarsky district);
Processing of agricultural products
Akmola region has:
- 16 meat processing enterprises with a production capacity of 128.9 thousand tons per year;
- 15 dairy production enterprises with a production capacity of 149.0 thousand tons per year;
- 29 flour milling enterprises with a production capacity of 1033.6 thousand tons per year;
- 8 oilseed processing plants with a production capacity of 138.0 thousand tons per year.
In January-August 2024, food products worth 166.6 billion tenge were produced with an increase of 5.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
The main share in the structure of food production is occupied by the meat processing industry – 46.1%, dairy – 21.4%, vegetable oil – 11.6%, grain processing – 9.8%, bread and bakery – 1.9%, other industries – 9.2%.
Meat processing
Meat processing enterprises and workshops produced 57 thousand tons of meat in kind, the volume of sausage production amounted to 2108 tons.
Milk processing
The volume of processed milk production amounted to 79.7 thousand tons with an increase of 22.9% compared to the same level in 2023, 1,578 tons of butter were produced with an increase of 5.7%, cheese and cottage cheese - 1,329 tons with an increase of 15.6%, fermented dairy products - 5,533 tons with an increase of 5%.
Processing of oilseeds
51.8 thousand tons of vegetable oil were produced with an increase of 56.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
Flour production
149.6 thousand tons of fine flour were produced, an increase of 18.6% compared to the same period in 2023.
