Regional stage of the Republican Olympiad in Linguistics

On October 20, 2022, in order to identify, develop and support gifted students, improve and deepen students' knowledge of applied linguistics, the regional stage of the Republican Olympiad in Linguistics was held.
The objectives of the Olympiad are:
- popularization of knowledge about the language, world linguistic diversity and the essence of linguistics among secondary school students;
- development of schoolchildren's skills in logical thinking and creative application of general knowledge in linguistic practice;
- identification and development of interest in the study of linguistics.
48 students from 14 district schools took part in the Olympiad. According to the results of the Olympiad, winners were determined: 5 participants were awarded with diplomas of the 1st place, 6 participants were awarded the 2nd place, 8 participants were awarded the 3rd place.

The regional stage will be attended by the winners who scored the highest scores Elizaveta Bosyakova, a student of the 11th grade of KSU «Secondary School No. 11 of the city of Altai». Congratulations to the winners of the Olympiad, their parents and teachers!
