Within the framework of the Auylga Kitap project, a thousand books were donated to the library fund of the region. The works translated into Kazakh will be sent to rural schools and libraries.
The regional akimat hosted a presentation of books translated into Kazakh by the publishing house "Mazmundama". This event was organized with the financial support of Allur avto and the Dauletten Charitable Foundation, as well as the regional akimat and the Youth policy department.
"Auylga Kitap" is a project aimed at developing a reading culture and increasing interest in books among the younger generation.
Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament Daulet Mukayev, as well as the founder of the publishing house "Mazmundama" Genghis Mukan came specially to the presentation of the books. They told the governor of the region Marat Sultangaziev about the essence of the project.
In turn, Marat Sultangaziev wished good luck in the implementation of the project and thanked for such a noble action.
Then the delegation met with representatives of regional libraries and youth. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Youth Policy Department, Madi Akhmetov.
The project is aimed at solving the problem of the lack of reading skills among the younger generation. In the context of the rapid development of technology and the emergence of alternative forms of leisure, reading books is becoming less and less popular, which can lead to negative consequences in the field of education and general culture," Daulet Mukaev stressed.
It is worth noting that the deputy personally sponsors Nurzhuma Yelesbai's book "Kabanbai batyr kim?", as he adheres to the opinion that young people should know their heroic ancestors and batyrs who fought for the independence of their native country.
Daulet Mukaev also told his story of love for books: how he bought them, and after reading them he sold them and used the money to buy new ones.
Among the books translated into Kazakh there are works by Daniel Keyes, Jennifer Moore and Gustavo Mazali. All books were transferred to the library fund of the region, and 90 of them were given to the Enbekshikazakh district.
We live in the era of digitalization and modern technologies, so today librarians are actively searching for non-standard forms of book popularization. The Auylga Kitap project is very important for raising the level of reading culture among the younger generation, and I want to note that more and more students are visiting us," Rashida Kurbanova, a library employee from the village of Avat in the Enbekshikazakh district, shares.
It should be recalled that at the National Kurultai, the Head of State paid special attention to the issue of improving the level of reading among young people. In his speech, he noted that only a reading nation can become intellectual. Therefore, the Auylga Kitap project is the most important initiative in this area.
