Unity of generations: veterans and youth plant trees together as part of the "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign

Within the framework of the republican environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan", the Onegeli urpak week is being held in the Almaty region, which is designed not only to improve the environmental situation, but also to support the older generation and veterans, the Akimat of the Almaty region reports.

More than 1,000 veterans and elderly residents receive assistance from volunteers and young people who provide support in the improvement of their homes.

An important point was the planting of trees on the territory of the houses of the elders of the Ili district — Suleyman Zhumabekov and Vladimir Udovik. 

"Today, on Unity Day, as part of an environmental campaign, we continue to work on landscaping and landscaping of our region. Respect for the older generation is an integral part of the tradition of each of the peoples. I wish that the apple trees we planted would grow into large trees, giving us coolness in summer and delicious fruits in autumn," said the Akim of the Almaty region.
