From August 3 to 12, the regional Department of Youth Policy organized a significant decade of activities, with each day dedicated to a specific theme. Over this period, more than 100 events were held, covering areas such as ecology, sports, culture, science, and charity.
More than 25,000 people participated in these events, reflecting the high activity and determination of the younger generation. The highlight of the decade was the focus on creating conditions for the comprehensive development of youth and supporting young entrepreneurs.
Currently, the region is home to over 420,000 young people aged 14 to 35. Therefore, it is crucial to develop infrastructure that fosters their potential and opportunities.
Madi Akhmetov, head of the Department of Youth Policy, stated:
"We are making strides by opening new coworking centers, both in the city of Konaev and in the Kegen district. In the near future, similar centers will be established in the Raiymbek, Balkhash, and Karasai districts of the Almaty Region. These spaces are designed to enable youth to share experiences, learn, and develop their ideas."
The region actively supports youth entrepreneurship through state programs, offering both financial and advisory assistance, thus creating favorable conditions for startups.
Another significant initiative is the launch of the affordable housing loan program for youth, "Alatau Zhastary 2.0." This program is of particular importance to many, as it provides thousands of young families with the opportunity to purchase housing on favorable terms and significantly improve their quality of life.
Overall, the decade dedicated to International Youth Day clearly demonstrates how to work effectively with talented young people in the region, create unique opportunities for them, and, most importantly, provide them with a foundation for growth and the realization of their ambitions. These events once again prove that the youth of the Almaty Region is not only the future of the region but also the present of our country. Supporting their initiatives remains the key to the successful development of society as a whole.
