18 renewable energy facilities have been commissioned in the region over past 5 years

About 65% of Kazakhstan's water energy resources are concentrated on the territory of the Almaty region. In addition, the Dzungarian Gate and the Shelek Corridor are unique sites for the potential construction of wind farms. This creates favorable conditions for active investment in this industry. So, today in the region there are 32 objects of renewable energy sources with a total installed capacity of 332.4 MW, which account for 50.1 billion tenge of attracted investments.
