The gross harvest of potatoes exceeded 790 thousand tons

The gross potato harvest reached 790,1 thousand tons with an average of 196 uints per hectare, the sown area amounted to 40.3 thousand hectares. At the same time, 757,7 thousand tons were collected last year, the average yield was 192.2 cent/ha.

According to the regional department of agriculture, 17 districts and 2 cities are engaged in potato cultivation in the region. The most active of them is Raiymbek district. If in 2018 year  about  111,8 thousand tons were collected in the area with 5,6 thousand hectares with a yield of 197,8 c / ha, in 2019 with 6.0 thousand hectares – 125,0 thousand tons with a yield of 208,4 c/ha, this year with 6,0 thousand hectares, 130,0 thousand tons were collected, the average yield reached 215,2 c / ha.
