The region has 517 investment projects with a 5 trillion tenge total value

"Today, our purpose is to create a diversified and technological economy, as outlined in President's Address. The region is gradually moving from the agricultural direction to the agro-industrial one, the part of the manufacturing industry has reached 87%. A significant contribution is made by 9 projects of multinational companies for a total investment of 165 billion tenge with the creation of 4 thousand jobs, -  said governor of the region Amandyk Batalov during a briefing.

According to speech of the governor of Almaty region, 3 out of 9 projects of multinational companies have already been put into operation.  They are: "Mareven Food", "LUKOIL", "Willo", by the end of the year, another object as " SSA Feed mills " is being commissioned with a capacity of 60 thousand tons per year. The first cement plant of the region - "Alatsem" with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year is also being launched.

In total, 71 projects with a total cost of 153 billion tenge will be implemented this year. By the end of the year, the volume of industrial products will exceed 1 trillion tenge, and non-primary exports will reach 406 million dollars with  growth of 6% (2019 – 388 million us dollars or 114.6%).

In general, of Almaty region contains 517 investment projects with a total cost of over 5 trillion tenge and the creation of 45 thousand jobs.
