More than 250 thousand medical masks are produced per day in Almaty region. About  13 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget to fight against  the pandemic, including 8.1 billion tenge to prepare for the second wave. Medical institutions have a three-month supply of personal protective equipment and a two-month supply of medicines.

According to the regional health department, medical institutions in the region have a three-month supply of personal protective equipment, including 6.2 million medical masks, 2.5 million pairs of gloves, 74.6 thousand sets of protective disposable suits, as well as a two-month supply of medicines. In particular, in hospitals there are 204 names of medicines worth 1.4 billion tenge, in outpatient clinics - 5 names worth 101 million tenge.
