This year, it is planned to collect 139 thousand tons of fruit including about 92 thousand tons of apples.

According to the regional department of agriculture, the total area of orchards (fruit and berry, grape and nut crops) occupies 23.5 thousand hectares, including apple – 14.1 thousand hectares and 2 thousand hectares of intensive gardens. The volume of gross production of fruit and berry crops and grapes was 129.6 thousand tons, - 86.8 thousand tons of apples.

Due to the renewal of old orchards on 1244.1 ha, new orchards were laid, including: fruit – 1082 ha (574.8 ha of seed, including: 375 ha of intensive and 507.2 ha of stone), berry – 161 ha, nut-bearing crops – 1.0 ha and grapes – 0.8 ha.
