For the information of farm animal owners!

Identification of farm animals - a procedure for registering animals, including assigning an individual number to animals by using products (means) for identification, branding, including information about a farm animal in the database for identifying farm animals and issuing a veterinary passport. In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Veterinary Medicine" and the Rules for the identification of farm animals in the country, all types of farm animals must be identified. This is one of the measures of national importance.

The identification of farm animals is carried out by veterinarians of state communal enterprises on the right of economic management "Veterinary stations of districts (cities) with veterinary points" of the state institution "Veterinary Directorate of Almaty region".

To date, in the Almaty region in the database of the Web portal iszh.kz, 1,346,106 head of cattle, 4,645,964 heads of small ruminants, 66,521 heads of pigs, 394,483 heads of horses, 8,881 heads of camels are registered.

According to Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Veterinary Medicine", individuals and legal entities are required to:

- ensure the identification of farm animals;- notify veterinary stations about the newly acquired (acquired) animal (animals), obtained offspring, its (their) slaughter and sale.
