Identification of farm animals-the procedure for registering animals, which includes assigning an individual number to animals by using products (tools) for identification, labeling, entering information about farm animals in the database for identification of farm animals and issuing a veterinary passport.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" on veterinary medicine " and the rules for identifying farm animals, all farm animals in the country must be identified . This is one of the measures of national importance.

Young farm animals are identified no later than fourteen working days from the date they reach the following age:

calves, lambs, goats, oatmeal-seven days after birth;

foals - from the age of four months (when marking), seven days after birth (when chipping));

young hoofed animals (donkeys, heifers, ponies, zebras, kulans and other animals) - from the age of four months (when marking), seven days after birth (when chipping));

breeding growth, growth for further cultivation and reproduction, as well as the growth of the population contained in farms-after seven days from the date of birth;

the growth is contained in agricultural enterprises, farms and farms and is intended for industrial cultivation, subsequent slaughter until the age of nine months-seven days from the date of birth;

undergrowth that is not killed before the age of nine months is kept in agricultural enterprises, farms and farms and is intended for industrial cultivation and fattening-after seven days from the date of reaching the age of nine months.

Identification of farm animals is carried out by veterinary doctors of veterinary points located in each rural district of the region.
