UAPF’s Open Doors Day
As part of information and explanatory work among the population, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund is holding an Open Doors Day on June 18 in an online format. Anyone who wants to use a special online platform can attend this event without leaving home.
The theme of the event is “Voluntary pension contributions - easy to open and replenish!”. The main goal of the event should be to popularize voluntary pension contributions. At the moment, a number of changes in legislation have been adopted, which should become an excellent stimulus for the development of a culture of accumulation.
So, from the beginning of the year, VPC paid by a tax agent (employer) at their own expense in favor of the employee are deducted when calculating the corporate income tax. At the same time, the amounts paid by the employer to the VPC in favor of the employee are not taken into account when taxing employee’s income. The norms of the Law were put into effect, regulating the procedure for the transfer by the Kazakhstan Deposits Guarantee Fund of unclaimed amounts of guarantee compensation to the UAPF during the year to be credited to individual pension saving accounts for accounting for VPC. Also, one of the most important innovations was the automatic opening of VPC accounts, upon the first voluntary contribution.
In addition, the purpose of this event is to provide comprehensive information on other issues related to the work of the accumulative pension system.
