1. General provisions
1. the Department for Olympic sports and sports reserves (hereinafter – the Department) is a structural division of the state institution "Department of physical culture and sports of Almaty region" (hereinafter – the Department).
2. Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, decrees of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On order of consideration of addresses of physical and legal entities", "about local state management and self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan", "On combating corruption", "On state service of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "On public procurement", "On physical culture and sports", normative legal acts of the Ministry of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, decrees of akimat of the region., in its activities, the Department is guided by acts and orders of the regional akim, orders of the head of the Department, as well as this Regulation.
3. the regulations on the Department are approved by the head of the Department on the proposal of the head of the Department.
2. main functions and rights of the Department
Functions:
Ensuring the implementation of the state policy in the field of physical culture and sports;
Providing leadership in the field of physical culture and sports within its competence;
Conducts regional, national, and international sports competitions in sports together with sports federations;
Provides participation of national teams of the region in national and international sports competitions;
Assignment of sports categories: candidate for master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, first sports category, coach of the highest and middle level of qualification of the first category, instructor-athlete of the highest level of qualification of the first category, methodologist of the highest and middle level of qualification of the first category, judge of sports of the first category; Providing housing to Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic Champions and medalists, assigning the status of "specialized" to sports schools and departments of sports schools-prepares and implements documents for the provision of public services;
Develops a unified calendar plan for Olympic sports;
Collecting, analyzing and providing information on the development of physical culture and sports in the region to the Ministry of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Provides methodological and Advisory assistance to sports organizations;
Provides activities of children's and youth sports schools;
Performs other functions in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
5. rights and obligations:
Prepares draft acts of the akim and akimat that are within the competence of the Department;
Consideration of proposals for conducting expert, analytical and summary work on the results of the activities of local Executive authorities, improving the work in the field of physical culture and sports;
Performs other rights and obligations in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. responsibility of Department employees
6. Department officials are responsible for:
Timely and high-quality execution of the management's orders;
High-quality implementation of planned activities related to the implementation of the main tasks of the Department;
For performing the duties assigned to him in connection with official instructions;
For timely provision of information to higher authorities;
For violating the code of Ethics of civil servants;
Responsibility for violation of labor discipline.

Head of Department:
Manages and organizes the work of the Department, creates favorable conditions for creative, professional work of the Department's specialists;

Develops the Department's work plans and monitors its implementation;
Coordinates the Department's interaction with local government agencies;
Within the scope of its competence, it participates in the preparation of reports of the Department.
