Meetings of the Advisory Body to promote the activities of institutions executing criminal sentences and other measures of criminal law enforcement, as well as to organize social and other assistance to persons serving criminal sentences

On January 28, 2020, a meeting of the Advisory Body was held in the regional akimat to promote the activities of institutions executing criminal sentences and other measures of criminal law enforcement, as well as to organize social and other assistance to persons serving criminal sentences (hereinafter - AB).

CSR members were invited to the AB meeting: representatives of NGOs, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", the Department of Penitentiary System in Almaty region, heads of regional departments, representatives of the prosecutor's office, by video intercom - deputy akims of districts and cities - chairmen of AB, NGOs and the media.

The following topical issues were brought up on the agenda: On the provision of free medical care and the registration of dispensary citizens with drug addiction, alcoholism and HIV / AIDS from the special contingent, who are in places of detention and are registered with the probation service; On the cultural and mass work carried out to maintain the moral and psychological climate and sports for young people registered with the probation service of the Almaty region in 2019 as part of the "Year of Youth"; On the prospects for the creation of a socially civil service in places of confinement;
