About certification of social workers

The requirements for a social worker are high, since social work is a complex process that requires solid knowledge in the field of psychology, sociology, pedagogy, medicine and knowledge of other fields.

For the reason of to ensure the system of providing special social services with highly qualified staff and to determine the compliance of social workers with qualification requirements, certification of social workers in the field of social protection of the population is carried out.

In 2019, more than 480 social workers in the field of social protection of the population of the Almaty region were certified in accordance with the "Rules for certification of social workers in the field of social protection of the population", approved by order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 28, 2011 No. 237
