The provision of SHGs will be transferred to the Social Services Portal

In Kazakhstan, the provision of a guaranteed social package (hereinafter referred to as GSP) is transferred to the Social Services Portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal) from 2021. Since October this year in all regions the process of providing SHGs through the Portal was launched in a pilot mode. Thus, about 3.5 thousand citizens will be able to receive the service in a proactive format by the end of the year.

Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan YerlanAukenov said that until December 1 of this year. a commission for the accreditation of suppliers on the Portal will be created at the city and district level.

Employees of the Center for the Development of Labor Resources of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan have already trained specialists from the social protection bodies of cities and regions to work with service recipients and suppliers on the Portal.

Currently, work is underway to provide service recipients with EDS keys, and the employment centers explain how to work with the Portal.

Taking into account the experience of the current year and the wishes of the population, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan has improved the process of providing SHG for children. In September this year. changes have been made to the composition and volumes of food sets. In particular, the food set is supplemented with ultra-pasteurized milk to increase the shelf life; due to the seasonal shortage of buckwheat, an alternative is provided in the form of rice. Also, baby fruit and vegetable puree is now combined into one name, so that the child can choose the most preferred product.

Note that in 2020 The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan provided additional assistance to socially vulnerable categories of the population, including school-age children receiving TSA.

Starting from March of this year and for the entire period of the state of emergency and quarantine restrictive measures, monthly cash payments were made for the purchase of food sets in the amount of 2 MCI.

For the period from March to May and from July to August, 25.6 billion tengewas allocated from the budget for these purposes for more than 1 million people, including more than 200 thousand children covered by payments. Also during this period, the provision of in-kind assistance continued, within the framework of SHG for preschool children.
