The issuance of permits to attract foreign labor is carried out within the adjusted quota for the region, distributed by type of economic activity.
By the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 722 of December 31, 2019, the quota for attracting foreign labor to the Almaty region for 2020 was established in the amount of 2238 units, including: for category I - 70, for category II - 461, for III category - 985, IV category - 244, for seasonal workers - 478.
From January to October 2020, 344 permits were issued, 357 permits were extended and 29 permits were reissued. Including: for category I - 18, for category II - 132, for category III - 308, for category IV - 12, for seasonal work - 102 and within the framework of the All-Union Communist Party - 158.
On November 1, 2020, 77 enterprises attract foreign labor in the amount of 811 people (in category I -21, in category II - 150, in category III - 325, in category IV - 12, seasonal workers - 83, and in intra-corporate transfer - 220 ).
Including: from China - 596 people (73.5%), Uzbekistan - 87 people (10.7%), Turkey - 65 people (8%), Ukraine - 18 people (2.5%), Azerbaijan - 15 (1.8%) and other countries - 30 people (3.7%).
The amount of tax due for permits issued as of November 1, 2020 is 258 million tenge.
