IN ALMATY REGION, MORE THAN 6,000 RESIDENTS HAVE UNSUBSCRIBED FROM DANGEROUS RELIGIOUS PUBLIC

In the context of the introduction of new forms of combating extremist groups, the #RELIGIONSCAN project has been implemented. This became known during a briefing on the information platform Jetisy' media.

The aim of the project is to establish feedback with the residents of the region and provide analytical services to determine the presence or absence of content related to the DRT. During the reporting period, services and consultations were provided to 311 residents of the region. In comparison with 2018, the number of subscribers to the DRT pages has been reduced by 42%.

As a result, since the beginning of the year, 23,731 SMS mailings were sent to the addressees, from which feedback was established with 7,258 subscribers of destructive religious movements. In general, on the basis of SMS mailings, 6203 residents of the region unsubscribed from the Internet pages of social networks containing the ideology of a destructive religious trend.
