Within the framework of the youth festival" Jetysu style " on November 17, the Republican debate tournament "Tauelsiz zhastar alany" was held in the Youth Service Center

Purpose: formation of public and civic opinion of young people, formation of free public speech skills, support of activists of the debate movement of Kazakhstan, improvement of logical thinking skills.

The event was attended by 12 teams from 9 regions of the Republic (Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, Almaty, Karaganda, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Turkestan, Kostanay and Almaty region).

The tournament was held in the format of the APF (American parliamentary format). This format is the most traditional format of the tournament and is widely distributed among participants of the debate movement in Kazakhstan.

The team from Turkestan region becomes the winners of the tournament and is awarded with cash prizes (200,000 tenge), a diploma and a cup. The 2nd place was taken by the team from Almaty (150,000 Tenge), the 3rd place was taken by the team from Almaty region (100,000 tenge).

The winners and prize-winners were awarded by the first deputy head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption service) for Almaty region Zhumabayev Zhandos Sagyndykovich, head of the regional department for youth policy Saparov Eladr Kaisarovich.

The discussion platform will address a number of topical issues at the moment, such as working with young people of the NEET category, anti-corruption policy.

The event was attended by debaters, journalists, representatives of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption service) in Almaty region and active youth.
