In the new academic year, a contingent of students is expected to be about 446 thousand people, of which 46 and a half thousand children are expected to be first-graders. This was announced at a briefing in "Jetisý Media".

According to the head of the Department for Quality Assurance in the field of education of the Almaty region, Saule Kabimoldayeva, 48407 sets of textbooks were purchased for 1st graders this year. New textbooks on "Computer Science" will be received by 47669 students of the 3rd grades, 43579 students of the 7th grades, 40902 students of the 8th grades.

At the same time, the need for additional purchase of missing textbooks for grades 2-11 is 38 thousand 697 copies of textbooks.

"In the first grade, the subjects" Alippe","Ana tili"," Primer"," Literacy training","Digital literacy" will be introduced. In order to comply with sanitary and hygienic requirements, the solemn line will be held only for first-graders, " Saule Kabimoldayeva said.

About the school uniform. Before the pandemic, it was mandatory to wear it. But last year, taking into account all the circumstances, a decision was made that allowed students to come to school not only in school uniforms, but also in classic-style clothes throughout the school year.

This academic year, it was decided to make it optional to wear a school uniform for another year. Children can temporarily, during the next school year only, attend school not only in school uniforms, but also in classic-style clothes.
