The largest number of candidates was registered in Chapaevsky rural district

In the Almaty region, the elections of 71 mayors of rural districts for July 25, 2021 are scheduled in 17 districts (cities) out of 20. 279 candidates were nominated, 93 of them-by political parties, 186-by self-nomination. The average competitiveness is 3.9 people. All districts have 3 or more candidates. The largest number of candidates is in the Chapaevsky rural district of the Ili district, according to JETISÝ MEDIA.
"As of 18.00 hours on July 14 of this year, 242 candidates were registered, 85 of them were nominated by political parties, including: 57 candidates from the NurOtan party, 6 candidates from the Auyl PDPP, 1 candidate from the Ak Zhol PDK, 11 candidates from the ADAL PP, 7 candidates from the NPK, 1 candidate from the OSDP. 157 candidates were nominated by self-nomination. The republican budget covers the costs of campaigning in the amount of 220000 tenge for each candidate, " said Kakharman Zhaksylyk, a member of the Almaty Regional Election Commission.
