35th anniversary of the elimination of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident

On April 29, at the organization of the Department of Internal Policy of the Almaty region, a solemn event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the elimination of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was held.

April 26, 1986 will forever remain in the hearts of people as a day of remembrance of those who died in radiation accidents and catastrophes, as a day of gratitude to people who selflessly stood up to protect themselves from nuclear danger, as a reminder of the responsibility of humanity for the fate of the planet.

The consequences of Chernobyl would have been much greater for Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Europe, if not for the heroic efforts of many people who managed to curb the elements in a short time. Regardless of the danger to their own lives, hundreds of thousands of people did everything to reduce the devastating consequences. The feat of the Chernobyl heroes will always serve as an example of courage, the highest professionalism and loyalty to our duty.

It should be noted that among the heroes there were more than thirty thousand people from Kazakhstan, including from our Almaty region.
