March 16 - celebration of the «Day of Shezhire»

On March 16, in memory of the famous ancestors in the cities and districts of the region, events are held as part of the celebration of the "Day of Shezhire" in various formats.

On this day, cattle are slaughtered, a festive dastarkhan is prepared, prayers are read in memory of the departed ancestors. Relatives and neighbors visit families who have recently lost loved ones and express their deep condolences.

In all districts and cities within the framework of the "Ardagerlerdi ardaktayyk" proet, festive food baskets are presented for veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labor.

On March 16, the regional center hosted a meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labor. During the event, the aksakals were congratulated on such a significant date by the chairman of the regional organization of veterans E. Kelemseit.

The dean of the Faculty of Humanities of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, Candidate of Humanitarian Historical Sciences A. Tolamisov spoke about the merits and contribution of veterans of our region to the development of their native land. During the celebration of veterans, students of secondary schools performed the poems "Ardagerlerge myn algys", with musical compositions performed by artists of the city of Taldykorgan.

Also, a historical evening "Tugan Zher - Tugan shezhire" was held in the Sarkan district, a collection and exhibition of books were held in the B. Mukai House of Culture of the Raiymbek district. Prayers for the departed ancestors and others were organized in the holy places of the Karatal district.

On a regional scale, the celebration of the "Shezhire Day"was covered in the newspaper media and the Zhetysu shopping mall.
