The results of the competition for the 90th anniversary of M. Makatayev were summed up in Almaty region

This year marks the 90th anniversary of Mukagali Makatayev. With a special scale, the anniversary of the great poet is celebrated in Zhetysu. The official start of the celebrations was given in the small homeland of the poet, the village of Karasaz, Almaty region, where they want to put up a monument to him. Meanwhile, song contests, poetry evenings, and book presentations are held all over Kazakhstan.

In Taldykorgan, in the Palace of Languages, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the competition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the poet Mukagali Makatayev. The competition was organized by the Department for the Development of languages of the Almaty region together with the Republican literary and cultural educational magazine "Mukagali".

"A large number of people showed a desire to participate in the competition. 450 candidates between the ages of 18 and 45 submitted their materials, which were first checked for plagiarism and filtered out. As a result, 360 people had the opportunity to take part in the creative competition," said the chief jury of the competition, Nusupbay Abdrahim.

The winners were determined in two ways. According to the terms of the competition, in the first stage, candidates must compose a poem dedicated to Mukagali. In the second stage, participants need to write a research article that reveals the essence of national knowledge, national code and being in the work of Mukagali. In the evaluation of the work, much attention was paid to the content, idea, structure, artistry and comprehensive disclosure of the topic.

As a result, the winners were awarded with diplomas and cash certificates. Honorary 1, 2, 3 places were taken by 9 participants, and the grand Prix went to 2 candidates.
