There is a 13.8% decrease in fires in the residential sector of the Almaty region
Since the beginning of this year, 972 fires have been registered on the territory of the Almaty region, with a 13.8% decrease in fires compared to the same period last year. This became known during a briefing on the information platform "Jetisy Media".
"Since the beginning of this year, 526 fires have been registered in the residential sector of the region, with material damage of 23 million 260 thousand tenge. Also, since the beginning of 2020, 126 fires have occurred due to NPPB during the operation of a solid fuel furnace, which is 24% of the total number of fires in the residential sector," said Kanat Altynbekov, head of the Taldykorgan UCS.
According to him, the main reasons of fires are, violation of fire safety rules at the device and operation of oven heating, infringement of rules of installation and operation of electrical equipment, also to careless handling of fire.
Therefore, the Department, in order to prevent fires and prevent deaths and injuries in the residential sector, carries out preventive work to explain the rules of fire safety on an ongoing basis and during the heating season.
"To date, 29 million tenge worth of propaganda materials on fire-fighting topics have been produced. TV programs were released on the Zhetysu shopping Mall. In addition, more than 900 thousand were allocated for the replication of the roots of the law "On fire safety measures", which are distributed among residents of the private sector, apartments and places of mass stay of people," Kanat Altynbekov shared.
He noted that since October 15 of this year, 45 thousand 803 houses have been covered by rounds of socially vulnerable segments of the population, during which more than 68 thousand 889 citizens have been instructed. 1 thousand 867 violations were revealed, of which about 74% of violations were eliminated on the spot.
at the moment, there are 386 thousand 870 private residential buildings registered in the region, of which about 65% are heated by solid fuel stoves.
Preventive work with socially vulnerable segments of the population is not limited to individual visits and distribution of propaganda material. In addition, repeated rounds of residential buildings of the specified category are carried out. So, 2742 houses were re-examined.
During the press conference, the topic of preparing roads for the winter period was also highlighted. So, to ensure road safety in winter, JSC NC "Kazavtozhol "issued an order to create a Commission for the winter period and assign engineering and technical workers to road sections. The first Deputy akim of the region developed and approved a plan for interaction of regional services for the sustainable functioning of highways in the winter period 2019-2020.
"To date, an action plan has been developed, which reflects the issues of preparing the main road equipment for work, harvesting and exporting deicing material to places of greatest need, as well as "winter" road signs with "action zone" signs, " said Saimasay Almukhambetov, Deputy Director of the Almaty regional branch of Kazakhavtodor JSC.
