On September 15, 2019, a train collided with a bus at a railway crossing located at Shamalgan station. As a result, the bus driver was killed, a woman and her two children were injured.

A railway employee was tried in this case. For improper performance of his duties, he was sentenced to 3.6 years of probation.

After the accident, the authorities decided to build an elevated pedestrian crossing and a car interchange for the safety of people.

And today, on September 25, a year after the tragedy, a ceremony was held.
