The Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Almaty Region implements the state policy in the field of architecture and urban planning. To date, the security of settlements of the Almaty region with master plans has reached 100 (100%) percentages and adjustments are being made as necessary. The availability of detailed planning projects in the region is 40.2 (40.2%) percent. Of them: - cities 100 percent; - settlements with a population of over 5 thousand people 100%; - settlements with a population of less than 5 thousand people 33.8%. To date, work is underway to develop a comprehensive urban planning scheme for the Almaty region (stage II). At the same time, the Department constantly monitors the issued architectural and planning assignments (APZ) for design. For 2 months of 2020, the district and city departments of architecture and urban development provided 2353 state services «Providing source materials for the development of construction and reconstruction projects (redevelopment and re-equipment) » and 1753 state services «Coordination of the sketch (outline design).» Since the beginning of the year, 3 applications have been received for the provision of public services «Issuing a decision on the construction of religious buildings (structures), determining their location», «Issuing a decision on the reprofiling (changing the functional purpose) of buildings (structures) into religious buildings (structures)». 2 - the applicants were given a decision on the construction of religious buildings (structures), determination of their location, 1 - the applicant was given a reasoned refusal.
