Socio-economic development of Almaty region

As you know, a year ago the city of Konaev became the regional center, which is actively developing today. According to the results of socio-economic development in 2022, steady growth has been ensured in all sectors. The gross regional product reached 4 trillion 249 billion tenge and showed an increase of 106.3%, this is the third place in the republic. The growth rate continued for four months of the current year. The volume of industrial production increased by 10.7%, trade – by 20.7%, construction works - by 1.8%, agriculture - by 0.6%."
The main directions in the development of the region I want to note the main three directions:                            1. Development of the city of Konaev;                                                                                                                              2. Solving the main issues of agglomeration;                                                                                                                 3. Increase in income of the population.
In matters of the development of the regional center, a draft General Plan of the city of Konaev and a Comprehensive plan of socio-economic development for 2023-2027 are being developed, which is currently undergoing the approval procedure in state bodies. One third of the gross regional product of the region is industrial products. The share of export-oriented manufacturing industry reached 90% or 503 billion tenge. In turn, the export of processed products increased by 20% and amounted to about 600 million US dollars (11 months of 2022).
In the future, the scale of the agglomeration, including the satellite cities "G-4 City" and the city of Konaev, will expand to 100 km with coverage of 4 million people.
Therefore, from that moment we started creating new jobs for the residents of the region in order to reduce the pendulum migration. An important event of this year was the creation on the territory of "G4 City" of the largest in the country - a special economic zone with an area of 30 thousand hectares. With the full implementation of the project, 3.7 trillion tenge of investments, 3.2 trillion. it is expected to receive taxes and create 34 thousand jobs.
Since last year, more than 40 business meetings have been held with foreign and domestic investors, 50 memoranda and agreements have been signed that ensure a steady flow of investments in the amount of 462.5 billion tenge.
Among them are the most important:
- Development of tungsten deposits "Boguty" "Zhetysu Tungsten" (134.4 billion tng, 350 jobs);
- TechnoNICOL Plant (43.8 billion.tng, 220 g/o);
- SSA Fruits company for the construction, storage and processing of intensive gardens (32.8 billion tng, 199 g/o);
- Sublimation plant "Fruit Art" (42.8 billion.tg, 247);
- Shin-Line Ice cream Factory (stages 1,2) (33.4 billion.tng, 590 g/o). Thanks to such projects, the number of small and medium-sized businesses, which are the main factor in the efficiency of the economy, has increased 1.4 times and exceeded 128 thousand.
